Applications & Sales Engineer / ManagerAES motomation Inc. provides automation equipment and robot engineering services in North America. As an international company, headquartered in Germany and representing Japanese suppliers, we sell leading edge robotics mainly into the semiconductor industry and support our customers in the pre- and post sales phase providing technical support.
In order to better support our customers we are in the process to establish an Applications & Sales Engineering Team in Silicon Valley. We have an immediate opening for the first member of this team. Our new team member will be trained well to start out as Applications Engineer with the mission to become either the manager of our engineering team or a full time part of the sales team.
Position Description: - Provide tech support to customers in the pre-sales and post-sales phase
- Assist sales team in developing leads into prospects and prospects into customers by giving technical presentations and defining customer requirements
- Responsible for test installations and solution qualifications at customer’s site
- Trouble shoot field problems by identifying root cause problems, communicating them to the technical support teams and feed back solutions to the customers
- Participation in 24/7 phone support
Requirements: - Strong analytical and communication skills in an international environment, exchanging information with customers, suppliers and colleagues
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechatronics
- Programming knowledge as well as Excellent mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Experience working with semiconductor equipment
- Experience with semiconductor robots preferred, but will train correct candidate
- Experience with startup activities is a plus
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team
- Must be able to occasionally travel up to 25% at times

- Involvement in international software developments.
Requirements: - Bachelors Degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechatronics.
- 5+ years engineering experience, with minimum of 3 years in the semiconductor industry.
- 2+ years experience in programming, preferably with object oriented software
- Strong communication skills in an international environment, exchanging information with customers, suppliers and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
- Must be able to travel up to 30%.

Service Technician Position Description: - Supports existing customers in use of product
